November 3, 2011

Successful recruiting is one of the most important success factors for a growth company. Companies compete for skillful workforce and mere reputation or a recruitment ad on the newspaper does no guarantee a wave of applications from skillful persons. Frank Communications helps companies to profile themselves right on employer market.

Virvo Oy, a company specialized in strategic human resources management services, ordered from Frank an employer profiling with which to boost its recruitment marketing and strengthen its employer image. Virvo recruits continuously lots of people straight for customers, as consultants in customer projects and as experts in Virvo, thus a coherent employer image has meaning.

Objectives of the profiling were answering the business challenges and increasing recognition as an employer. – We wanted to brighten the message we give outward, Virvo’s CEO Anne Haggrén tells. – We needed a systematic approach to our recruitment, because we are pursuing for business growth. What was also important was the development of our company profile especially among top management decision makers, Virvo’s senior consultant Christian Slöör adds.

An exhaustive and professional execution

Previous experiences of Frank’s professionalism affected the choice decision. – We have worked with Frank previously so we had experience that they are professionals. Also communication was easy as we understand one another, Haggrén applauds.

At first Frank familiarized itself with Virvo’s business operations, company objectives and recruitment communications channels. – The phases of the execution were agreed with Frank : core group’s workshop, the interviews of the new Virvo people and the going trough of the results. Frank’s expert clarified our image among the newcomers and also compared communications among selected competitors, Slöör tells.

Frank also implemented a questionnaire for the personnel and hosted the workshops. From the material a tool case for Virvo’s recruitment marketing was assembled. – The execution was flexible and the resources were reasonably used. Also the work meetings were hosted well. They raised good discussions and stuck to the point and stayed in schedule, Slöör praises.

Expectations were met and promises were fulfilled

People at Virvo were very happy with Frank’s work. – The set objectives were met. We gained an outsider’s opinion and a lot to think about how we want to differentiate from the competitors as an employer and as a service provider, Slöör thanks.

- The main message how to describe Virvo and Virvo’s operations was well encapsulated. In the long run we will use the work as a part of our official strategy plan, Haggrén adds.

As particularly successful Slöör mentions the close cooperation and reacting to Virvo’s wishes. – Frank understood what our need was so the execution of the project was of the right size. We were really listened to.  We are also a small organization and we understand that it is worth it to outsource services at which you are not the best yourself, Slöör adds.
